Born in Vadodara, and raised in Korba (currently in Chhattisgarh), Ujjaval Shah was introduced to the charms of trading at a very young age and envisaged becoming a businessman himself. However, as time passed, he took to being a banker and was duly designated as the Regional Sales Manager in the Loans department at HDFC bank.

“The profile was an impressive one, and perks of the designation took me places.”, adds Ujjaval. During his stint at the HDFC bank Ujjaval Shah, came in touch with a number of people from numerous walks of life, especially in the entrepreneurial businesses and trade arena.

It was only then that Ujjaval chanced upon meeting with the proprietors of Padamshree Globe Private Ltd. They gave him the impetus to try his hand in trading. He willingly took to the role, and zestfully transacted for a number of products including dairy, apparel, fertilizers, pulses, and sugar.

Ujjaval conceptualized the foundation of his very own trading enterprise in 2014. With a dint of hard work and perseverance over the years, JMD enterprises saw the light of dawn in 2016.

Currently, we work out from our new office in Vadodara, yielding a notable turnover in six months. At present we are into the countrywide distribution of dairy products. We hope to successfully penetrate in the global markets. The firm has forged fruitful business associations with Singapore, Dubai, Afghanistan and Myanmar. In due course, the company hopes to expand its product base for internal and international sales and distribution of a variety of Indian FMCG brands, and introducing India to Afghan dry fruits.
